Our sheaths are 3D printed from Sculpteo with an industrial-grade SLS 3D printer and solid grey PA12, and then polished through mechanical polishing to make them smoother to touch. They are tough, long-lasting, skin-safe, waterproof, flexible, and lightweight. The black sheaths are printed in white PA12 and then dyed in black. In our test, white PA12 and dyed sheaths outperform the already strong enough solid grey PA12. They are even more tough and soft. Since last year's Kickstarter campaign, we have updated the sheath design slightly. They are crowdfunded versions in Japan and South Korea. This new version has carved text inside that shows their size and the design is more edged and slightly bulky. You do not need to upgrade Kickstarter sheaths, as these are identical in functions and durability. If you want the Kickstarter version, please get in touch with us.
We recommend you get a customized sheath for your strap for the best user experience. Please leave a message with desired strap size(width, thickness) if your strap is not listed in the option. Then we will customize the model, upload it to our Shapeways store, and give you the order link. Choose general sizes(18mm, 20mm, 24mm, 26mm) if you want maximum compatibility. They fit up to 4mm in thickness, so if your strap is thicker than 4mm, please contact us.
